From the UN Humanitarian HUB in Panama, we support Latin American countries with the logistics to fight against COVID-19.

Panama is the main venue of the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot in Panama (UNHRD), a warehouse located at the Tocumen International Airport (PTY), with a storage space of 5,200m2, of which 1,000 square meters are destined for the cold storage of medicines.

Managed by the World Food Program (WFP), it provides purchasing, warehousing, inventory and dispatch services to 17 partners in the region, including PAHO/WHO, UNICEF, International Plan, Doctors without Borders and the Government of Panama.

Recently, the WFP designated the UNHRD as a collection center to receive goods used to respond to COVID-19 in Latin America and the Caribbean.

To support the efforts to transport materials from the healthcare industry to everyone, we work closely with the WFP and the Pan American Health Organization, as a logistics provider from one of their main HUBs.

A field hospital for the Red Cross

To avoid intra-family contagion, one of the strategies used by governments and institutions involved in combating COVID-19 is the construction of field hospitals, temporary structures prepared to receive people with symptoms.

In the months of April and May, our teams from Panama and Colombia joined forces to transport, using a cargo plane, all the structure necessary for the construction of a Red Cross field hospital in Ecuador, with an aluminum structure that included 20ft long columns.

The provisional hospital has now 240m2.

From more than 70 own offices in 19 countries around the world, we can support you with air, ground or ocean freight projects, or multimodal combinations tailor-made to your needs. We have skilled professionals in several industries, ready to connect minds and move the world.
